It is our belief at Treasures Of The Web™
that each site who submits to an awards program for an evaluation should be given an equal opportunity. An evaluator who gives a site a thorough evaluation which upholds the standards of their criteria, can always feel comfortable with the final assessment.
The following statement was made in a forum not long ago …..
"when I evaluate a site, I look at the awards they have already earned and base my rating on that." As AP owners and evaluators, of course we must evaluate the award pages of the sites we evaluate, but should we let those awards sway our evaluation?
Every evaluator is different. Every evaluator sees things in a different way, and each of us have criteria that we have worked hard at setting up. That criteria is what we should always base our evaluation on.
What one may see as a Gold winner according to their criteria, could well be a Bronze winner according to another evaluator's criteria.
